Susan and James decide to set the ceremony, aperitivo, dinner, and party at different locations of Borgo di Colleoli Resort: the ceremony in the romantic tree-lined driveway, aperitifs by the lower panoramic pool, dinner outdoors in the courtyard cooked by I Secoli restaurant, offering a sophisticated variety of dishes prepared according to traditional Tuscan recipes.
The after-dinner dance party takes place in the upper pool area, with live music and a DJ set by Guty & Simone, today as the perfect Borgo di Colleoli wedding band DJ combo!
After the first dance to the beautiful and moving ballad One Day Like This by Elbow, the spouses and guests filled the dance floor all evening, dancing to the most famous Irish folk songs such as The Irish Rover by The Pogues and The Dubliners, Galway Girl by Steve Earle, Las Vegas (In the Hills of Donegal) by Goats Don’t Shave, and Wagon Wheel by Old Crow Medicine Show. They also sang along to hits like Wonderwall by Oasis and New York, New York by Frank Sinatra, as well as new folk rock hits like I Will Wait by Mumford and Sons and Ho Hey by The Lumineers.
The music ranged from rock ‘n’ roll, disco, and Latin music to live performances and DJ sets featuring modern genres such as R&B, hip hop, and EDM, along with the latest chart hits. There were no breaks, and the music didn’t stop until the end of the evening.

Set in the Tuscan hills, Borgo di Colleoli Resort in Colleoli, Pisa, is a historic group of buildings from the 15th century. Its large grounds include 2 swimming pools, a summer restaurant, and a wine bar in the central courtyard, making it perfect for holding a wedding reception. The venue is completely pedestrianized and provides free parking and golf carts for getting around the property.
Borgo di Colleoli Resort is 2 km from the medieval town of Palaia and 13 km from Pontedera. The resort is located in the countryside, making it perfect for relaxing and experiencing the nature that surrounds you. Additionally, it is perfectly located, just a 35-minute drive from Pisa airport and close to many cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena, and San Gimignano. Borgo di Colleoli: A brief historical overview
Borgo di Colleoli is a historic villa in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. It was once a medieval castle but was renovated in the 17th and 18th centuries to become a luxurious estate. In 2003, Palummo & Pierotti Architects and Associates restored the property, turning it into a modern holiday resort while preserving its Tuscan charm.
The estate has a main villa and farm buildings like a hayloft, workshop, and administrative building. The guest apartments, in these old farm buildings, have different sizes and furniture that represent Tuscany. Guests can enjoy local wines at the villa’s wine bar or have traditional Tuscan food at the restaurant I Secoli.
You can have a great time at Borgo di Colleoli by learning about the area’s history, trying delicious wines, or relaxing in the olive groves or by the pools. Your stay will be memorable.
