1. Do Guty & Simone have all the equipment (including lighting) to carry out an event?
– Yes. See the section “Audio and lights”.

2. Can Guty & Simone move with all the equipment to place it in another location during an event?
– G. & S. can play for all different stages of the event, during the aperitifs, the dinner, or the dancing after the dinner, but for logistic reasons, they cannot move their equipment during the evening. The spouses will have to organize, based on their specific needs, the best position where the performance should take place, giving priority to the part of the event which they consider more important (the aperitif, the dinner or the dancing). In order to reach the more distant areas where the live music can’t be heard, G. & S. can add a second portable system Cd/mp3/iPod player for background music and a radio microphone for speeches (without any extra charges).
For example: if the dinner and the after dinner take place in the same location, whereas the aperitif is outside, if one chooses to have live music during the dinner and after dinner dancing, they will put up their equipment inside and create an outdoor system for background music for the moment of the aperitif.
The same thing goes for example if live music is preferred outside – in that case they will set up the main system outside and the second system for background music during the dinner.
It is important to underline that the second system for background music is free of charge. On the other hand if two main systems are needed to play live in two different places then they need to be notified in advance and this will cost something extra.

3. Can Guty & Simone play outdoors?
– Yes, of ‘course. When they play outdoors G. & S. need to have some kind of cover/shelter in order to protect their sophisticated instruments from both the sun and from evening dampness. A roof, a gazebo or even an big Sun umbrella will do (those rectangular types supplied from catering companies).
G. & S. will not set up their instruments if this kind of shelter is not supplied.

4. Can Guty & Simone play outdoors if it is raining?
In the unfortunate event it rains (or even if it looks like it will) mainly because of the danger due to the use of electrical materials during a storm or in contact with water, G. & S. cannot, for any reason play outside unless there is a shelter which totally protects the equipment from the water. An umbrella or a gazebo are not sufficient.
We always advise the spouses to think about a second alternative (an indoor area)in case of bad weather. It is true that Italy is a place of Sunshine but this doesn’t mean that it never rains and therefore it’s always best to be safe than sorry on such an important event!

5. How much space do Guty & Simone need?
G. & S. need an area of at least 4 X 2 meters on a level plane. If it is outdoors, not on the grass or on a slope, for security reasons. Bear in mind points 3 and 4 for outdoor exhibitions.

6. What is a S.I.A.E permit? Who takes care of this?
It is the authorization to use music paying the relative copyrights during public exhibitions in Italy in accordance to Italian Law.
It’s now possible also to pay and get the SIAE permit ONLINE going to www.italianhelper.com
This needs to be requested directly from the organizers of the the event, like the spouses or someone on their behalf for example the wedding planner or the venue.
You can also attain the permit in a S.I.A.E office in the area where the wedding takes place (or online going to www.italianhelper.com).
G. & S. will not take care of attaining said permit nor of handing it back in the day after for no reason whatsoever.
The cost of said S.I.A.E permit is not included in the cost of the booking.
The cost of said S.I.A.E permit is not a payment to G. & S. but an amount paid to the authors and editors of the songs performed during the evening.

7. What is ENPALS?
– The ENPALS is a fund for employees in the entertainment industry. To play professionally live it is necessary to attain an ENPALS document. G. & S. will autonomously attain said document and the cost of this is included in the price.

8. We already have a Wedding Planner can we contact Guty & Simone anyway?
– Yes, of course. G. & S. often collaborate with wedding planners and agencies. You can contact them directly. They speak English and can resolve any kind of problem via email. Moreover remember that even if there is a wedding planner or an agency organizing your wedding, they do in fact prefer to be in touch directly with the spouses to as to avoid any kind of misunderstanding. All payments need to be made directly to G. & S. following the modalities indicated for bookings.

9. Do Guty & Simone need a meal?
– Yes. As a common practice, arriving well in advance to set up their equipment, and not being able to abandon their positions successively, G. & S. normally eat something before the event begins. Even a simple meal will do.

10. Is it possible to choose the songs of the evening?
– Yes, You can choose the songs you prefer from Guty & Simone’s repertoire. You may also choose one song which is not in the repertoire – but you need to notify them at least a couple of months before if you do so – of any genre you like, then, once G. & S. confirm, this they will prepare the piece for you.
If there are other songs you would like to hear, which are not included in the repertoire, you may make a playlist which G. & S. will play via a cd/mp3 player during the break (you can also use an iPod/Tablet/Laptop ecc..). In the same way they will prepare the dancing pieces.

11. At what time will they arrive at the location of the event?
– The time of arrival is calculated on the basis of the day time-table and in accordance to the the spouses’ specific desires. Certainly with sufficient time to set up all the equipment. Even if the duo is asked to play at a later stage of the event, like after dinner, they will come in the afternoon anyway to set up the equipment before the guests arrive.

12. How many hours can Guty & Simone play?
– G. & S. can play live for about 3 hours but will be available for the entire period of the event, from the afternoon until the very end. They are very flexible and they guarantee music the whole evening either live or with the help of a CD or I-pod.

13. Until what time are Guty & Simone available?
A “normal” evening would finish at midnight or 01,00 – it depends when G. & S. start playing. At the latest they stop at 02,00 am. They can occasionally rent the p.a. for background music until max 03,00

14. Can Guty & Simone play during the ceremony?
– For reasons tied to logistics and time G. & S. cannot play during the ceremony but they can suggest other very good musicians who can.

15. Is it possible to have background mp3/ipod music during the aperitifs?
– G & S have a small secondary sound system for background music through an mp3 player for aperitifs and will evaluate the possibility of carrying out the service based on the time table of the event. If it is possible this implies an extra cost.

16. Is it possible to have live music instead of background mp3/ipod music during the dinner?
– If the location is exactly the same of the after dinner (and the musicians don’t have to move p.a. and instruments during the event) there is no problem and no extra charges. If the dinner and after dinner don’t take place in exactly the same location G. & S. can add a second portable system in the dinner area (1x250watts Loudspeaker+Wireless Mic+ipod/mp3 player input) for background music and speeches (without any extra charges).

17. If one of the spouses or a guest want to sing or play a song is it possible? Can they do this using an instrument supplied by Guty & Simone?
– Yes, but please inform G. & S. beforehand (via email) especially if it is a surprise.

18. If the spouses or the guests want to project a video can they use Guty & Simone’s equipment?
– If G. & S. are notified in advance via email it is possible – they can also supply an amplifier and a wireless microphone to use during the projection. G. & S. will not take care of the video side however (PC or projector).

19. Is an on-the-spot inspection prior to the event necessary?
– G. & S. do not carry out on the spot inspections and they have enough experience to resolve any situation via email and may contact the structure directly if they need to have further information on the location.

20. Do Guty & Simone need to have a reference for what concerns the location of the event?
– Yes, G. & S. need an email contact and a telephone number of at least one person in charge of the structure where the event is to take place for organization reasons.

21. How does one carry out a booking for Guty & Simone?
– to book, G. & S. ask their clients to write out a brief confirmation of booking via email and to send a bank transfer of approximately 30% of the total expense. The remainder needs to be paid directly to G. & S. in cash on the day of the event.

22. Is it possible to draw up a contract with Guty & Simone?
– Although, from a point of view of the booking and in respect of the various commitments of the parties, the emails exchanged already have legal validity, if requested specifically by the wedding planner, it is possible to write out a contract to be signed by both parties.
